Long Dragons

Overview

The Long dragons are a race of beings, descended from the Dark-born made flesh. They are the ‘brothers and sisters’ to the Element-born dragons of Lyardia. They inhabit the island continent of Kracon, whose name roughly means ‘to come together’ or ‘to be one’ in the Celestial. They adapted themself not to the Elements, but to the other beings who live on Kracon as well. They got their fur from the Foxes, their Horns from the Centaurs, their scales from the Merpeople, and their claws from the Halfpeople. 

Physiology

The Long dragons are indeed long, like snakes. They always have at least four legs, though some may have as many as twelve. Some families possess other hereditary features, like feathered wings, double sets of horns, or even three eyes. Ancient stories, written in everlasting Memory Ink, say that when the first Dark-born descended, they made deals with the beasts they had created, giving them intelligence in exchange for their wings, their claws, their voice or sight. These stories explain the strange beasts who live in the islands, like the Blunted Panthers, or the Silent Mourning Doves.
