Gildence
Overview
Gildence is the capital of the human kingdom of Raicuth. The ‘City of Wealth’ was founded by Prince Edward II of Geidal on his quest to map the entirety of Lyardia.
Built around a valuable mine of Vitaria, Gildence has grown from a small mining town to a great trade city. After the alchemical, medicinal and magical properties of Vitaria were discovered, the town expirenced an influx of new citizens looking to make a fortune in the mines.
After the fall of the kingdom of Dorerene and the rise of the modern-day kingdom of Raicuth, King Aaron the United chose the city of Gildence as his capital. With Raicuth being a trading kingdom before the Unification, Aaron wanted a port city so that his ships could trade with the then-rulers of the Split-Solar Desert, the Kaesta Dynasty.
