Vampire
Vampires are one of the supernatural species in the world. They occasionally refer to themselves as "Kindred" to indicate that they were all once human.
There are many different myths of origin about vampires, one of the most relevant and widespread is the origin of Cain, the first murderer. Another theory says that generation indicates how far away you are from the first vampire of your clan because in modern nights Cain is considered often only a metaphor.
"Loving the monsters always ends badly for the humans. It's a rule."
Basic Information
Anatomy
After the embrace the body changes considerably, even if these changes are not obvious at first sight. The inner organs are no longer needed and atrophy. Almost all body fluids are replaced by blood. In fact, the blood becomes what drives the vampire's immortal body. He uses it to fuel his powers, to strengthen his senses and to get up every night.
Besides the obvious changes - such as the formation of catches that can puncture human skin and the underlying veins - there are also some less obvious changes.
If you want to break everything down to a single circumstance, vampires are undead. Their body is trapped in a kind of stasis, which represents the state at the time of death. Apart from the wounds, vampires return to this state every night. But not only physically. A vampire is a child of his time and after a few decades is only difficult to learn new things.
Although they can eat mortal food, it does not nourish them, and most vampires have to vomit it at the latest at sunrise. All that still feeds them is blood. Therefore, vampires are always paler and thinner than they were before the embrace.

Genetics and Reproduction
Vampires are not born, they are created. Their bodies are frozen in a state of death, so they can't reproduce, right? Instead, there's the Embrace, the act of immense will with which a vampire passes on his curse and creates a new vampire.
To perform this act, the victim, the future child, must first be deprived of his own blood. Usually, the vampire drinks it completely and then drops a drop of his own blood on the lips of the child to be. This one drop of blood, called Vitae, revives the dead flesh and performs the transformation. The new vampire rises quite quickly, usually immediately after receiving the vampire vitae.
Ecology and Habitats
Vampires are everywhere where humans are found. However, they do not usually live in small villages and remote regions, even though there are certainly some old vampires there. The vampires' hunting grounds are the cities of humans, where they can find their prey, spin their intrigues and extend their influence.
Since the masquerade has broken and no longer hides the existence of vampires, life has become much easier and much more complicated for them. Mankind is aware of their existence, but the full extent of the supernatural powers is still unknown to them. So it's not surprising that there are a lot of vampire haters and groupies who either want to destroy the bloodsuckers or are eager to become one of them. Clubs, bars and discos owned by vampires are becoming more and more popular, while people are still puzzling over what rights one should grant this new phenomenon.
Dietary Needs and Habits
"Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally when you take in air and the anxiety subsides ... that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood."
Vampires need blood to survive. It's the only source of food left for them after death. This fact is often romanticized by vampire groupies, but for the vampire himself, it is a bitter necessity. Since the existence of vampires has become common knowledge, blood banks have found a new source of income by selling blood bags to those who do not want to tarnish their humanity by hunting humans. Yet other vampires have a larger herd of humans they can safely drink from. Others hold on to the old methods and obtain their blood as they have done for thousands of years - by hunting and seducing unsuspecting prey.

Does it terrify you?
Or do you feel alive?
With the Embrace, the average human being becomes a predator, a hunter, perfectly attuned to his prey. And that prey is human. Accordingly, the vampire's senses, especially hearing, sight and smell, become sharper.
The sharper vision allows the vampire to find his way in the darkness and see his prey, even if he remains unseen. Only unnaturally generated darkness is a problem for him. But much more extreme are the changes in the other senses. Vampires can perceive the heartbeat of a human over 300 meters and more, to smell their blood over much greater distances and to taste the finest nuances, such as drugs or diseases, from the blood. But this is by no means the end of the story. Depending on the clan, the vampire develops different, unnatural abilities that make him an even better predator.
