Social Encounters
Some encounters are social encounters, such as when speaking to a noble lord or attending a royal party. In these situations your hit points are irrelevant and instead you have an amount of social points equal to your INT, WIS and CHA modifiers combined (minimum of 1). If you would be reduced to 0 social points during an encounter you are effectively ignored as you have made too many percieved slights against powerful people or made an idiot of yourself. It is possible to regain social points with an especially convinving argument or by reducing an "enemy's" social points to 0. It is important to note that in the example of parties and such, your social points are an indication of the party as a whole, not just one person. So while you may have made an enemy by ridiculing 1 person, the rest of the party still loves you and as such you might not have lost any social points at all.
During social encounters, your dm will ask you to make a number of INT, WIS and CHA checks to see how well you do. During a social encounters additional skills are available (persuasion, deception and intimidation may still be used). You are proficient in a number of these skills equal to the highest modifier among your INT, WIS or CHA. So a char with a 4 CHA modifier would be proficient in 4 of these skills (your dm may allow you to switch one proficiency to expertise in 1 you are already proficient in).

- Intelligence (Logic): You try to make a logic based argument to either win over someone or try to make their idea/argument look bad.
- Intelligence (Law): You make an argument based on the law to shutdown someone or to say why people should support you.
- Wisdom (Empathy): You appeal to someone by being empathic and nice, listening to them when others might have dismissed them.
- Wisdom (Twisting): You pretend to agree with someone else, while subtly changing parts of their argument to better suit your needs/opinion. (For example, twisting a nobles argument for less soldiers to save money, into making a town militia instead)
- Charisma (Diplomacy): You attempt to keep tensions down and find a common ground from which an agreement can be made. (This can also be used if others are arguing, and you can step in to help them out and earn social points)
- Charisma (Authority): You make an argument based on your authority. (Authority may be that you as an adventurer is an expert in monsters and therefore people should listen to you when talking about dealing with monsters)
