Military Structure

A generic overlook on how militaries are structured, minor differences will be present in each military of course.

  1. Companies: Armies are comprised of companies of usually 400-600 soldiers.
  2. Captains: Each company is led by a captain. Every captain has several squires, these squires work as messengers for the captain, and are allowed to make in the moment tactical decisions if the captain can't.
  3. Knights: Knights work as special forces and are generally seen as serparate from the normal military, but they do outrank captains. (It can be assumed any special force has the rank of, or equivalent to, Knight)
  4. Generals: Each army has multiple generals to discuss strategy and tactics. An army is typically between 10-20 companies.
  5. High Genereal/Marshall/Master of War: The supreme authority on all military matters, they only answer to their Sovereign.

All armies will also have a scout corps, these vary greatly in size, and they work mostly independently under the leadership of the Scout General.
