Age of Thassilon

Founding

A remnant of Alphatia, Thassilon was rumored to exist off the coast of Arvanor and the Soro Valley. The brainchild of an Alphatian wizard Xin. Thassilon was formed when Xin discovered the secrets of sin magic. Called the virtues of rule, sloth, gluttony, lust, wrath, envy, and pride, each could be used to power magic unlike any wielded previously.   Gathering apprentices, Xin soon became emperor of Thassilon and each of his apprentices earned the title Runelord and ruled their own kingdoms of Thassilon.   Xin retreated from the world, and his Runelords fell to infighting and conflict. Whatever disaster sank Alphatia also sank the coastal regions of Thassilon, including Xin's capital and palace. Just before the disaster, the Runelords also disappeared. Then the disasters ended, Thassilon was no more.   Other empires and kingdoms may have existed during this age. These are just the four which have left some evidence of their existence.
