The Golden Age

The Golden Age

Also Known as The Dawn Age, or the Age of Legend

Also known as the Age of Legend, the Golden Age was the dawn of Arith. Gods and Primordials walked the earth with their mortal and immortal creations. It was a time of plenty, where even mortals were nigh immortal. Some myths have the Elder Titans ruling the lands, while others state that the Gods ruled.   It is said that in time, the Gods created the elves, the humans, the hin and the gnomes. In time however, the different natures of the Gods and Titans caused conflict. The Primordials would create new creatures, new lands and environments, sometimes killing thousands without thought in their cycle of creation and destruction. Nothing was considered permanent, for it was their nature to desire change. The gods and primordials together created the first dragons.   The Northerners say that the Aesir and Vanir combined forces and defeated the greatest of all Titans, Ymir, while the midlands say that the god Zeus slew Chronos, his sire, to free his brothers and sisters after Chronos consumed them. In either case, This "Dawn War" between god and primordial ended the Golden Age.
