Krongard

The canton of Krongard fell to an orcish invasion almost a century ago and remained under orcish control until a group of heroes from Hawkmoon aided a dwarven army from Torevin in 2276. The adventurers, led by the dwarven scout Tharak Guldenson, were able to sneak into the many secret dwarven passages and take out the orcish chieftain and shaman. They were then able to take and open the battlements, allowing the dwarven army to enter the underground canton and wipe out the orcs.   Struggling to rebuild, Thane Bolga Ironkeeper relies on the other cantons for aid, while he dwarves of Krongard slowly return to its halls. Once considered arrogant and abrasive, Bolga has since come to terms with his canton's tenuous position and is now themodel of civility and courteousness.
