This is a world without Gods, no one knows if there ever where gods here or if they simply never crossed the minds of mortals in this land. Instead, people embrace and connect with the spirits, entities tied to every physical thing on this world and the living lifeblood of magic and the universe. Magic here is a living thing in itself, an ecosystem of spirits and other creatures of the Fog, the place between worlds where the spark of life first emerged. People in this world have chosen how they desire to relate with the spirits, and this relationship shapes every aspect of their lives. The races here too, all reflect different ways of being mortal or spirit or both. Every nation has its struggles, and as I flesh out this world, I expect we will all learn together how these peoples cope with the mysterious nature of the lives they have been given.
