United States § Serum

The United States Super Soldier (§) Serum I, otherwise known as the Adam Serum, was the first strain of § Serums developed by the US at the end of WW1. The Adam Serum had a ~35% success rate on applicants and enhanced their capabilities to exceed human capabilities. Adam § could heal bruises within ~30 minutes, broken bones within ~2 days, and recover from direct gunshots within ~1 week. Additionally, their life was extended up to ~145 years, requires 8,000–10,000+ kcal/day, and can function at high output for 48–72 hours before collapse.

Adam § could pass on the benefits of their serum to any offspring sired post-serum consumption. Additionally, any existing or dormant mutations or superpowers can and would also be empowered by the serum.

The United States Super Soldier (§) Serum II, otherwise known as the Eve Serum, was developed by Dr. Mary Belle Grace Butler and vastly improved upon the Adam strain. The Eve Serum had a success rate of 70% and while non-fatal would leave failed applicants wounded, sterile, or cause internal damage. Eve soldiers could recover from minor wounds and fractures within 12 hours, bullet wounds within ~2 days, and could operate longer than Adam soldiers. They need 12,000+ kcal/day, could easily live up to ~200 years, and were nigh-immune to known pathogens.

However, the Eve Serum had drawbacks. It could be inherited, but inheritance was not guaranteed. The Eve Serum did not enhance any existing mutations or superpowers but did have a nasty pattern of causing mutations and superpowers in both applicants and offspring. Additionally, the Eve serum made applicants significantly more passionate to put it mildly. Every single aspect of their being would be amplified by x10, good becomes great and mean becomes cruel. It also applied to their emotions, sadness became depression and joy became euphoria. A bad day for an Eve soldier was a nightmare for anyone in their way.

The United States Super Soldier (§) Serum III, otherwise known as the Abel Model, is the amplified Adam Serum mixed with a de-powered Eve Serum to make something Washington found more appetizing. The Abel Model had a 99% success rate, was completely non-fatal, and rendered Applicants impotent and sterile for the duration of their service. Once discharged, they received the Cain Model, the brother serum, which wiped the Abel Model from their bodies, restoring their reproductive capabilities.

The Cain & Abel Model was much easier to work with and prevented soldiers from siring a myriad of superpower knuckleheads to terrorize the world. And while the Abel Model cannot be inherited, it does still cause mutations and superpowers within the applicant that remain even after receiving the Cain Model before discharge.
