Tynican Parasitic Infection
The Tynican Parasitic Infection is an intentional parasitic infection caused by the infestation of the major water sources of Tynica as part of the red army's withdraw from Tynica in the later stages of Operation Wheat From Chaff.
The infestation occured after the red forces were ordered to be withdrawn in order to restore order in and defend the capital city of Rotelkon. Red forces wanted to ensure that Tynica could not be used by their enemies for food supplies, and wanted to punish the people of the province for their leaders choosing to side with the Monarchy. This was only the last in a long line of crimes commited against the civillian population of Tynica.
The intentional infestation of Tynica's water with parasites is the cause of one of the worst major crisis from the Woodangian Civil War and has significantly led to the continueing food crisis, with some of the parasites used by the red army effecting rice crops, a major food crop in the region and nation. with Tynica being the nations bread basket the continued devistation of it's farmlands has led to a dependance on foreign aid.
Deployment of medical aid has been delayed by the ongoing conflict in the region, with Tynica being one of the areas most effected by ongoing violence.
