RAS, also known as Resurrected Anomalious Species, are a designation given to any sort of animal that was once considered extinct. After The Withering, a phenomena began where animals, plants, and other such specimens have suddenly been brought back from the dead, despite the scientific improbability of these occuring. Although this has allowed for newfound research on these strange entities, it has also caused a fair amount of issue due to the fact that this has included various dangerous organisms and diseases.

Resurrected Anomalious Species are designated as a particular oddity from across the realms. This list is ever-updating with every new discovery made, and as such, it's not to be held as an complete list. In the event of a new discovery being made in regards to these species, all information should be forwarded to Dr. Cherlynn Oliver. As of present, the exact cause of these species being revived is unknown. Although many scientists across the globe have connected it to various theories such as Quantum Displacement and it's relevance to Supernaturality and the Recalled Memory Theory, none of these have served as perfect explanations, owing in part to the chaotic nature of Resolve and it's effects on the world.

SIBERIAN UNICORN

The Siberian Unicorn, also known scientifically as the Elasmotherium, is a type of Rhinoceros that was once prominent throughout Eastern Europe and Asia around 39,000 years ago.

Their long legs were developed for galloping, and combined with the massive horn that existed on the front of their bodies, they are oftentimes compared to that of ordinary unicorns found throughout Terra Eclipsis. Of particular note is that they're herbivores.

HONEYWASPS

Honeywasps, known scientifically as the Melittosphex burmensis, are a strange mixture of Honeybees and Wasps. Although their anatomical features resemble that of a wasp, there are various aspects of Bees located on their body, such as branched hairs.

Honeywasps create honey much akin to that of Honeybees, however, they act as scavenger species, feasting off of the flesh of dead animals, assisting in the decomposition of the flesh. Honey obtained from these types of bees are considered to have a more savory, rich flavor rather than sweetness.

SCALED TREES

Lepidodendron Trees, more commonly referred to as Scaled Trees, are tall, massive trees that only have branches near the top of it, with needle-like leaves hanging down from the top of it. These trees get their common name from the bark, of which has a scale-like, diamond-shaped pattern akin to that of reptilian scales lining it.

These trees are found across Earth, Terra Eclipsis, and in very small pockets across The Sands, and oftentimes are harvested for it's bark for protective and structural purposes-- though recent discoveries have shown that the bark is highly conductive to Mana, allowing for the creation of very powerful spellbooks.

UMBRAL WOLVES

Umbral Wolves were once hunted into extinction by the Dwarves, feared for their ability to merge within the shadows and strike at their prey from within them. Although this action would gain the ire of the Elves, the Dwarves were said to have seen no other option due to the risk Umbral Wolves brought to the ecosystem, hunting down everything that moved the shadows.

Currently, the Umbral Wolves have been spotted throughout the northern continent within Terra Eclipsis and through parts of North America. They are considered to be an invasive species, which has prompted bounties to be given to Hunters to drive them out through any means necessary.

NERVES

Nerves are a species of parasitic worm found throughout Strakh, having been previously driven to extinction at the end of the Second Cycle, after the entire realm flooded. Nerves would latch onto a host body and inject them with a venom that would make the victim feel an immense sense of fear & act irrationally in an attempt to encourage the usage of Mana for it to feed off of.

DRAGONS

Once driven into extinction thanks to the First Elven-Dragon War, Dragons are a powerful and feared species that, through both the prior war and the ongoing Second Elven-Dragon War, have brought great calamity to Terra Eclipsis. Their ability to use Mana is unlike anything seen since the time of the Nephilim and as such, they are to be treated with utmost caution.
