Fried Egg Balls are an unusual snack that can be found throughout Terra Eclipsis, oftentimes made late at night for those who want to have a quick bite to eat. Although it's an unhealthy thing to eat, it's considered a comfort food for many Elves due to the easy nature of it's creation as well as the taste it has.

How To Make:

There are a variety of ways to make these Fried Egg Balls, which shall be gone over in the following sections.

Poach-Then-Fried

The egg is cracked open into a bowl, then slid carefully into a pot of hot water gauged to around 144°F (62 °C). It is cooked in this heat until the white of the egg has become solid, whereupon it is then taken out of the pot. Afterward, it is to be carefully covered in flour and batter, and then carefully dropped into a pot of oil, where it'll be cooked until it's crispy.

Frozen-Then-Fried

The egg is left in a freezer until it becomes as solid as a rock. Once that happens, the shell is to be peeled off and the egg itself dried off with a paper towel. The egg is then rolled in flour and batter. Once this is done, the egg is to be cooked in oil until done-- usually around 6-8 minutes depending on how hot the oil is.

Scrambled-Then-Fried

The egg is mixed up in a small glass bowl before it is then cooked on a frying pan. It is cooked to perfection, and then carefully rolled up into a ball once it is done. This ball is then covered in flour and batter, then dropped into a pot of oil to be cooked further.

Oftentimes, it's not unheard of to mix in spices and what-not within the flour used to cook the egg, such as adding cayenne pepper powder, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, or Snatcher Leaf Flakes to give it a stronger (and sometimes spicier) taste. Often served best with freshly squeezed orange juice.
