No-Beard the Pirate

That is Captain No-Beard to you! Wait, no, what did you call me?!
Some pirates are feared, some pirates are ridiculed. Some...a bit of both, I guess? Definitely the case of Captain Mooray, interestingly enough known not for his fairly impressive successes in the pirate business but by his (lack of) beard.   Beards overall seem to be a rather sensitive topic to that particular pirate, and by extension to his crew. If you are ever captured by them, I would advise to avoid making fun of the captain's admittedly paltry beard. Better yet, shave off your own beard before he does it for you - potentially cutting off your head in the process. Slight overreaction, I know, but good luck reasoning with a bunch of pirates.

Personal history

Hard to tell with any degree of certainty, as you imagine. Some stories suggest he comes from Camur Island, which would make a lot of sense in this nonsensical story. The people from Camur are obsessed with their hair as well as others, and particularly when it comes to hair length. They had that whole Short Hair Act after all.   From there on it is probably the same old story: poor and rowdy kid growing up, enlisted as a sailor, his ship either captured by the pirates or a privateer gone rogue. Works his way up the social ranks, gets voted in as a captain, continues to sow chaos and violence across the ocean. Oh well, we shall know all the details when Captain No-Beard is finally captured and put on trial.

Accomplishments & Achievements

And captured he shall be, for Captain Mooray's crew has caused much pain and suffering in the last four years. Some twenty or thirty ships were captured, and many of the crew members put to death in a manner more cruel than you would expect from an average pirate captain. Who is, by the very definition, quite cruel.   In fact, some captains and sailors are so scared of Captain No-Beard and his crew that they shave their beards off before even setting sail. It is ironic really. A person appears to be so conscious about his inability to grow a proper beard, yet he has managed to instill fear into others by mere sight of that very own beard.
