Koszmar

The story of the Koszmar tells of an evil entity that prays on sleeping humanoids. Silently it climbs onto the sleeping creatures chest, and crushes them, forcing the air out of their lungs. It does not aim to kill quickly but slowly exhaust its victims. Koszmar are said to feed on negative emotions. The sleeper will awaken feeling intense pain in their lungs. Over time, the affected person will develop extreme exhaustion, irritability, and fear of sleeping, without knowing why.   The Koszmar strikes fear into the hearts of young children all across whitehearth, and although its thought to be just a story, many folks believe that people who die in their sleep are victims of the Koszmar.
