Eleanor Ressys

Eleanor was born east of Easting Reach, in the city of Mauberg's Oak her life was fairly simple, pursuing a caster's path, she learned a few tricks from her mother and learned the social skills from her dad, one day she met a fellow elf from the village and fell in love with him, but he didn't returned her feelings, devastated eleanor wandered the woods seeking some solitude, but there she found someone, a figure hidden underneath a black cloack, Eleanor approached, travelers weren't common on that region and she was curious, the figure immediatly turned to her and smiled, she said her name was Keziah Mason, and she was just passing by, after a few hours of a exchange of stories of travels Keziah pulled a book from her purse and gave it to Eleanor, saying that the book could help her gain the heart of her loved one, Eleanor thanked her and rushed back to the village, when she get home she immediatly started studying the black leathery book and learning the ritual engraved in it, a few days later she was ready to perform it.   A night of full moon she waited until most of the village was sleep and went to the center of it, she started chanting the ritual, an entire hour of choir, but she did it, when she finished she looked down and there was a black bald man looking down on her, he was quiet and had an eerie aura about him, without saying anything, he waved his hand and soon the entire village was around them, everyone looked in awe to the man and as he moved toward the woods they all followed along, Eleanor's father, mother, and her love were all beside her, it felt like a glimpse of a dream, but as they advance toward the woods Eleanor realizes they are going back to where she met Keziah, when they get there, everyone is in an absolute bliss with the prospects of what's going to happen next, the black man looks up, and as their eyes follow his, the bliss is turned into a nightmare, the sky is turn asunder, and a tempest seems to be forming, gigantic tendrils are slowly decending towards them, many try to run, but their legs give in under the pressure of the sight in front of them, Eleanor falls to the ground looking directly inside the portal, there are screams and flashes of green light, and as sudden as everything started, she found herself suddenly alone in the forest, the black man lowers his head, and lays the leathery book infront of her, Keziah is again there and she and the black man vanish as out of thin air, as if everything had just been a bad dream.   Three days after Eleanor was found by a search party who wanted to discover what happened in the village, she was found completly paralyzed looking to the skies above holding her book thightly, she was brought back to the citadel of mages and treated but her mind was forever changed with the knowledge of what she saw, she kept murmuring about the dark storm that destroyed her village for an entire week while in the hospital, after she recovered she found a job working at a library for the mages in exchange for a living space and was mostly left to herself, most mages discovered that it was particularly hard to get her to open up, some solid 15 years passed and a young sorcerer joins the citadel, his name Howard Montgomery, Eleanor realized that the condition Howard was under was because of her ritual, and they eventually talk about it to each other, Howard doesn't hold Eleanor accountable for what happened to him, and he was the first person Eleanor ever met to whom she could open up with about what really happened that day, and she was the first person that didn't felt disgusted by Howard's eldritch appearance or treated him differently as if he was sick and in need of help, the years passes and when it was time for Howard to leave the citadel he invited Eleanor to go with him, they both started living together in the capital, doing ocasional jobs for The badgers.

She had a basic education on her elven city and then she was instructed in magic in the citadel of mages

She's embarrassed by how her selfishness killed her family and cursed Howard

She's perpetually scarred by the effects of the ritual, she saw things great than the mortal mind could imagine and live in a constant melancholic mood duo to her memories of the event.

Eleanor is a bright girl but rarely displays it, she lacks the will to apply what she knows.

Not particularly good or bad, she doesn't feel anything toward people she might need to fight but she won't commit needless cruelty, she likes The badgers as a family, since she feels like captain Heihmen Montgomery and the rest of the troup completly accepted her and root for her happyness with Howard.

The little motivation she has is thanks to the influence of Howard in her life, she wants to get over her trauma and help Howard overcome his.
