Frozen Tears, Otherwise known as Tears of the Goddess, Healing Stones, Galaxy Stones, or Sight Stones, are a rare magical gemstone found only in Artois Lake and Scyllas River. Found in the beds of these bodies of water the Tears are small smooth gemstones with muddy brown patches around the exterior that has complex predominantly blue patterns which can resemble far away elaborate galaxies or deep underwater scenes among a myriad of other things. They are extremely hard although very brittle being able to be chipped or smashed with enough force. Frozen Tears are often mistakenly called many names and often these separate names are considered entirely different gemstones because the vast difference in appearance although this is not accurate. The properties of the gemstones are magical in nature leading to much speculation to their origin, many believe they come from the Goddess Artios, as they are her tears that well up from her Godstone and flow into the land around it. Others believe they are Tears of the embodiment of nature or the heavens and they signal her dismay at the loss of her majesty. Some even believe they are relics from before the Dark Ages of Man that were used for clairvoyance. Regardless of their origin the uses of Frozen Tears are plentiful due to their properties, Tears have natural healing properties, slowly healing any in contact with them and helping to cure disease and ailments although this is not always enough. The Powers of the Stones are considered mild by many but can greatly assist in other healing efforts, the gems also have on rare occasion granted clairvoyance to those who gaze deeply into them, but this however is rare and only happens with certain stones causing many to believe it is more rumor than truth. Finding these stones can be difficult due to their natural blue color and small size especially when looking through over a dozen feet of water, though this can be helped by their natural luminescent quality causing them to shine like stars twinkling beneath the mud.
