Catrix, Goddess of the hunt

Catrix was a bright young girl who loved to explore the woods. She would climb tree's and run around after school. She didn't really have many friend and would write to a girl named Drudia. They talked often which concerned her parents. She loved it when the letters would come in. Her friend lived in Destruction while she lived in Grief. One day her parents say her down and told her that she was going to be sold off to a man to help the family. The family was told that he would take care of her and love her but when she met him he was cold and just payed the man. He dragged her in to the house and put her to work. She worked for him for 4 years. At age twelve, she decided to run away. He chased after her but she managed to run away.

She hid I the woods for 5 years, learning the ways of the woods. she became a protector of animals. She one day heard a scream and ran to find out where the noice came from. She saw the man from 5 years ago and ran towards him. He looked at her as he was dragging a girl into his house. He stopped and sqinted at her and then realized who she was. Catrix jumped up into the air and landed on top of him. He let go of the girl and tryed to rip Catrix ff him. Her hair was wild and she kept her nails sharp. She went for his throat but she grabbed her hair and pulled her off. She turned around, him still holding her hair, and with a quick slash, cut her hair. He held the hair for a second before throwing it away from them. She ran towards the forest. He followed her, just like she wanted. She grabbed a stick and used some strands of stored hair to tye the sharp rock to it. She quickly climbed up a tree and jumped to ather branch. The man brought his gun with him. He looked around with wild eyes, trying to find her. She kept through a branch above him. Catrix threw a rock into a bush and he ran towards it. She silently landed behind him and stalked behind him. A twig cracked under her and he swung around. He trained his gun at her and shot. She managed to move quick enough so it would miss her chest but it still hit her arm. She pushed through the pain and stabbed at him. He dodged and brought his elbow down on her back. She though she was going to die so she prayed. The man trained his gun at the back of her head but when he went to pull the trigger, a raven shot right at him. It hit him right in the chest and he got the wind knocked out of him. The bird swept back around and picked up the spear, dropping it onto the mans chest. It pierced his chest and he let out a shriek before laying there, dead. The raven landed on his chest and just looked into his glossy eyes. The raven then grew into a man. Catrix hid behind a tree and watched the man. He looked around, spotted her, and slowly walked over. She tryed to run but he grabbed her arm. She tryed to pull away put he didn't let go of her. He told her that he was the god of death and he heard her call. She stopped trying to pull away and listened to him. He told her that the price for his help was that she became his wife. She though about it for a moment and accepted.
