Magister Thelmyr Borgen
The current Magister of Shadow Down, and a member of the Guild of Magists and Protectors, Thelmyr spends his days completing his Magister paperwork and assisting with Guild matters. Thelmyr moved to the city of Knotside about sixty years ago to study at the Royal Academy as a wizard. Since his graduation he has enjoyed his time assisting the City Guard on magical matters, occasionally teaching at the Academy or standing in as a Proctor, or simply enjoying his time doing magical odds and ends. His specialty is evocation magic, but since it can be quite destructive he instead does his studies and tests using abjuration magic due to a series of... unfortunate accidents in his youth.
After training a few apprentices with his Guilds partnership with the Academy he decided he wanted something a bit more interesting, as Thelmyr is known to be addicted to wanting to multitask as often as possible. His quiet days studying weren't enough, and after volunteering time with the Guild of Guilds and handling organization and paperwork with ease he decided to run for Magister. His campaign was built like an educational presentation, and his ability to cleanly and precisely state his policies and a tiered plan for making them realities instilled confidence in the guildsmen and craftsmen of the Shadow Down district snagging him the win. Thelmyr is simply tickled pink that he's won and simply sees this as another venture, something new to try so that he might gain new skills.
