Suziri Yassine

The Magister of Winters Gate, Suziri has a reputation of being a quiet and calming presence in the District. She is the owner of the stables in each district with a gate, employing the burlier citizens to help herd and maintain the animals left in their charge while the owners visit the city. Her employees range from Centaurs, Minotaurs, Goliaths, Firbolgs, Orcs, Bugbears, and other 'less desirable' races that would make others uncomfortable. She knows not such fears, and is a towering mass of corded muscle from years of herding and taming animals. A mane of wild dark green hair frames her face upon which small reading spectacles sit. She dresses plainly and comfortably, in woolen layers that often remind patrons more of a kindly monk than a woman who's said to have wrestled a dire bear into submission with her bare hands.

Bravery is required in her line as work, as adventurers and wizards often have odd ideas for mounts, and it's said that besides the normal horses, oxen, yaks, and riding lizards she's had to care for rangers and druids animal companions like wolves and bears, griffins and hippogriffs from particularly brave adventurers, pegasi and other large flying creatures, as well as riding drakes and wyverns. No creature is too odd, and it's even said that she once was taught how to ride Elephants from a Khotesh priest who had visited the city on a diplomatic mission. Whether all these tales or true or are simply tall tales created by wide eyed over enthusiastic minds of the youth in Winters Gate the reputation surely stuck. Suziri in an attempt to try something new and give her niece the reigns to the business ran for Magister, and so she's been for the past 6 years. She's quite good at her job, especially since so many instinctively move out of her way when they see her wild hair and large tusks round the corner. The stories lie in the backs of their minds, weighing how good of a decision it is to ignore a woman as strong as Suziri.
