Plague Gate
Aptly named for the fact that this district became a quarantine zone during the Winter Plague four years ago. Many of its homes stand abandoned as families were displaced and most in the quarantine zone died or left the city, even after it was cured. The homes look as they did four years ago as families packed in a hurry, half their belongings scattered about in the hopes they'd be able to come back one day. Despite the many homes being livable and sturdy buildings, many avoid living in the district due to superstition and rumors of ghosts of the dead haunting the district. Currently there is no Magistrate for this district due to the extremely low population. Only those most desperate live in the empty buildings, as they can hide in the condemned buildings for free. The government of Knotside is attempting to allocate a new use for the district, even if it means knocking down all of the old buildings to assure people can get over its unfortunate past.
