Lady Vi, Goddess of Death

Lady Vi is the Goddess of Death, and it is said she rules her realm of death from the inky darkness of the Shadowfell. Throughout time Lady Vi has been a mysterious mistress of the macabre. Her true identity never seen, face hidden behind a veil of lace and shadowy mist, rarely showing herself or making contact with her followers. Her domain is death, but she does not relish in it as many other Death Gods from Pantheons do. The approach is straight forward, neutral, unbiased, and almost clinical in a way. A person dies, she plucks their soul from the Material Plane and it is sent to the Shadowfell so that they might begin their journey to reach the plane where their soul will exist from then on. She does not mind the pursuit of Undeath, knowing that eventually all will fall claim to her domain, as nobody can truly escape death.
In the eyes of the Lady all have a time with which they are meant to die, this number is flexible based off their fortune and fate, but to cheat the Lady is an unwise move. Her attitude throughout the years has been said to vary, from cold and aloof, not interfering with anything and allowing deaths to play out as is, to being quite involved and even granting mercy to those she believes deserves more time. Many theories float about, but a few scholars have theorized that Lady Vi is a title, passed down amongst a powerful being who may not truly be god. Some have said Lady Vi is secretly an archfey from the Gloaming Courts, others say a coven of extremely powerful Hags, others still say it is an ancient Elf, or some other entity. The truth is known by only the other Gods, and those brave enough to search the Shadowfell for her dark palace.
