Haze Hollow
OOC Note: Haze Hollow is the setting of Dystopia Rising: Pennsylvania. For more information about the game, please visit their official website HERE.
Summary
Haze Hollow is a mining and trade outpost build at the terminus of the 'Cinder Trail', an ash-laden path through the Pensyltucky Wastes that leads to the (still partially burning) area of a massive pre-Fall mining complex. Some unknown event in the past set fire to the mine, causing a massive underground inferno that has only recently subsided enough for approach to the area to be possible.
Town Infrastructure
The town itself consists of only one permanent structure, a Trading Post that is outfitted with reinforced walls and an air filtration system. The building itself is connected to an external generator outbuilding for electrical power, and operates a recently-dug freshwater well pump for water supplies. Surrounding the main structure is an extensive tent encampment, housing both all manner of travellers as well as a number of semi-permanent local establishments. The town also has a local Radio Station, operated by the mysterious 'Mr. Pop'.
Financial Institutions
The Coyne Company
A profit-seeking venture that serves as the primary finacier of the Haze Hollow expedition. Their stated goal is to clear a path into the old mines and begin resource extraction efforts, with the intent of establishing a rich and profitable extraction operation within the region.
The Union
The primary organizing apparatus of the mine workers and other laborers of the area. They purport to represent the interest of the working- and lower-class residents of the Settlement, and have been vocal proponents of taking a slower and more safety-conscious approach to the mining endeavours than the profit-motivated Coyne Company.
Other Major Groups
The Obsidian Table
Operates the town Bounty Board, and have contributed a large number of supplies and labor to the foundations of the settlement.

Organized group of non-Gorger cannibals that have a cultural fixation on the consumption of Lineage flesh as a delicacy. Have been collecting 'donations' of flesh from members of the town in a 'flesh tithe' in an extortion/protection racket.
- Flame Cult
Have been abducting travellers off the road and throwing them into flames (unclear if large bonfires or the still-burning parts of the mines) as a form of sacrifice.
- Remnant Hunters
Group of game hunters that have been hunting Remnants (particularly Remnants with animal-like traits) for sport and pelts.
