Kilven
The One Who Roams, The Wanderer, The Trickster
God of commerce, thievery, quick wit, and long journeys with frequent stops, Kilven is a merry deity that revels in walking the mortal plane trading, stealing, joking and having fun. He is most known for constantly being in trouble, even with other gods, for consistently failing to conform with rules and orders.
In one of the most widely believed tales about him he is said to have actually stolen the very heart of Valya, the goddess of possessions, ownership, and vengeance. When Valya finally cornered him after a lengthy pursuit and many escapes, he traded half her heart and half of his for his life. Valya decided to exact vengeance by joining the two halves together thus binding him to her. She failed to understand, however, that once stolen a heart can never really be returned. The end result was the two deities fell hopelessly in love with each other and only felt complete in each other's arms, each having half his heart beating in the other's chest. Only Kilven was happy about it though, for he had given his heart freely.
Kilven is revered by people that travel often with merchant caravans and those that rely on wits to get by. He is frequently called upon by those about to engage in thievery and often favors bold and clever plans. He dislikes thieves and murderers and supports unlikely unions and couples that are trying to make up, especially if an innovative plan is involved.
