In 'Rough Nights and Hard Days' from the 4th edition, it states that Erich is the third son of the von Holzenauer family, and the one seeking to claim the throne of Übersreik, and the son of a nobleman from Altdorf. This contradicts 'The Edge of the Night' from the 3rd edition, which states that Manfred von Holzenauer is the third son and the pretender to Übersreik, but the son of a nobleman from Stirland.
