Erithor's Pit

Erithor's Pit is a seemingly endless pit in Valulo. There is an anti-magic, stone wall that surrounds the pit at least 500 ft away. Valulon guards walk the walks, preventing people from passing into the perimeter.    The pit has been assumed to be a connection to limbo. No one is quite sure of its' origins, or how even deep the pit is but as a person reaches a certain depth, they are thrust into another realm. Limbo, being the ever-changing chaos, is never constant. Some may land in the realm of air, or the ethereal plane. It is unpredictable what limbo will bring forth. Due to the unpredictability, the Archives have banned outside research and relied on Valulo government to enforce this. Despite the enforcement and laws, people still have managed to find their way into the pit's effects. This usually happens through the underground gave systems that stem from the Undermora Mountains.    The Archives have found that the only way to navigate limbo is through emotion. Some of the more skilled wizards are able to tape into the emotional powers of the arcane and by using the emotional energies, they can begin to map Limbo and the outer realms.
