The Owl God

The Nightcalm; Duskscape Regent of Memory and Serenity

The Owl God is the Duskscape Regent of remembrance, observation, meditation and serenity. An obscure god by Meranthic standards, it is most commonly worshipped by the drow as the Nighttime Manifestation of Ahm, whom they call Zhirai Rulat, a god of secrets who guards the path to Nidavellir, a paradise that Zhirai Rulat's chosen people (the drow, of course!) are destined to rule. While other Ahmite religions worship the Night Aspect (whom they call the Sword of Nyxfall or the Nightcalm), it is usually in a wholistic way alongside Ahm's other two aspects, the Swords of Morningtide and Eventide, and they don't necessarily acknowledge the connection between Nyxfall and this creature.

The Owl God is occasionally worshipped by non-drow archivists, historians or others that hold almost-lost stories & information sacred. It is said the Nightcalm presides over a vast sylvan library hidden somewhere in the Duskscape, which contains the sum knowledge of the Dream Time and its adjacent realms, including Waking Materia.

The Owl God's alignment is True Neutral.
