Hello and welcome to the dark and unsettling side of Waking Materia! There is much in both the Material world and its Umbral neighbour that will chill your blood and raise your neck hairs, from the skittering Qlippoth to the vampyrian Estrié, from the lurking Sandwurms to the hungry Skullfish, and it will only get worse from here!   What's more, the deep, dark oceans of Materia are particularly well-suited for celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Kaiju, which not only prowl the Sunken Expanse but even have their own complex ecosystems and bizarre pantheons.
