Urskarim
The Urskarim Come from the Njorskeld, as well as the two mountainous islands to the east of Borvannia: Gravhjem and Skarnhald. The Coast was the trade hub, and boasted the short-faced bear riders of Skarnvyr, the trade hub of Njorskeld, and the Urskarim people in general. The capital island, Skarnhald holds the great fortress capital city of Karngrim, a bastion of stone, silver and mighty oaks. It was the last place to fall in the war with Zevemlya, it took two years of fierce battle with the Zevemlyans, and five times as many of the invaders fell before Karngrim fell. Not a single Urskarim surrendered, and only the royal children escaped. Nearly fifty years ago, the youngest daughter left, and now her granddaughter, Yrsa Draumgarvael, a red-haired warrior, with the descendant of the King's Cave bear (Tharnbjorn) seeks an alliance with the elves to retake the entirety of Borvannia.
Finally the island of Gravhjem is the island of the honored dead. Deep within its frozen hills lies Zhadmorhal, the "Mound of the last Watch." the holy resting place of the honored dead of Urskarim, and occasionally the greatest warriors of Borvannia proper, if the Urskarim deem them worthy. This island was never formally taken, as the keepers of the island, Polar bear riders named The Ulskarn Host, surrendered without bloodshed on the condition that Zevemlya not encroach on Zhadmorhal. As such, the Ulskarn Host are the only Borvannians who were not subjected to Imperial Zevemlyan rule, and Galvander made only a small fortress city on the western coast, while allowing the Ulskarn Host to maintain their vigil.
