As humanity evolved to the apex predator, the world became "civilized". Humans began to cultivate lands, setup homesteads, villages, towns and even grand metropolises. A millennium of human supremacy granted them knowledge over the flora and fauna of the land. Allowing them to become even greater hunters, gatherers, builders, healers and leaders. However nature yields to no man, and soon the beasts of the land began change. Watching, learning and adapting to outwit and outlast the humans. Evolving to become the ideal apex predator of their own species. Developing languages, using tools, and even the gruesome physical changes necessary for survival. Soon the humans we outmatched and outnumbered. Most of the humans were killed in an wrath fueled revolution. The ones that were spared were forced to become slaves or be slaughtered like the animals they were. There are rumors of a cult of humans that fight for their seat back on the evolutionary throne. But those are just that...rumors. Currently animals reign supreme and live in moderate peace amongst themselves. However the evolutionary process ws not equal and fair. There are still an abundance of animals that are still in their more primitive form and were just unlucky. Agriculture is still the main source of sustenance and business for many Herbivores. But Carnivores still hunt. Both factions have come to an agreement to not over hunt and that only the primitive animals would be hunted. However meat is still a touchy subject amongst Herbivores.
