The Celestial Church

"Pelor and Selune, the twin gods of the heavens, the Celestial guardians of our world. In their light shall we be blessed, in their light shall we be saved"
-from 'Heavenly worship' by an unnamed Celestan

Structure

At the top of the Celestial Church sits the Grand Celestant, Traya the Lunescent. She is in charge of both halves of the Celestial Church, the Church of the Sun and the Church of the Moon.
Beneath her are the high Celestans, the Solari and the Lunara. They are the leaders of each half of the church, tending to the more mundane tasks of organisation while the High Celestant focuses on matters more spiritual.
Finally, there are the Celestans, leaders of individual churches throughout the land, who help their followers find enlightenment and safety in the light.

Culture

The cultures of the church are split between both halves.
The church of the Sun believe in the lights Holy retribution, that those who come to them are in need of salvation by joining the Solares on their never ending crusade against the nights darkness. The days Zenith is a holy time for them, and they regularly hold prayer during this time.
On the other hand, the Church of the Moon believes in the healing power of the light, that those who come to them are in need of help of a spiritual nature. The Lunescents offer free healing and care to any who would seek it, and offer spiritual enlightenment to those who are in need.

History

The Celestial Church us relatively new, as with the end of the Dusk War, Pelor and Selune were born. It has rapidly gained followers as the twin gods are still willing to interact with the material plane, sending many visions and prophecies to their followers.
