Orcs - Luthic
To understand the Orcs and their 2 very separate societies, one must understand the split between their parent gods, Gruumsh and Luthic. Long ago, before Vrethis even existed, all Orcs followed Gruumsh on the plains of Acheron, their father god leading a chaotic and ruthless war on the goblin god Maglubiyet. It was during this war that Luthic, along with a few of the minor orc deities, sequestered away her followers and ran to the material plain. It was here that they joined the war on Noculus, adding great strength to the forces of light. As a reward, Luthic was allowed to home her Orcs on Vrethis, so that they may finally live in peace.
When Gruumsh learned of Luthics betrayal, he stormed Vrethis with an army of Orcs, eventually being defeated but at great cost to all.
These 2 groups of Orcs came to be known as Savage Orcs and Luthic Orcs.

Naming Traditions
Luthic orc naming traditions vary from the cities to the tribes, but all share their ancestral last names.
Tribal First names;
Male:Grol, Mazra, Hurk, Sordash, Larthuc.
Female: Gulma, Bellra, Methri, Sara, Luthili
Last names: Brack'Brol, Shul'Dar, Mazrak, Rezalla, Turthic.
City Orcs tend to share the same naming convention as humans.
Beauty Ideals
Luthic stresses strength of mind, body and soul above all things, and this has shaped orc beauty ideals. A person's body and features mean little, it is more their spirit that is found attractive. Orcs have a keen sense of people, and are able to take the measure of a person very quickly.
Average Technological Level
Luthic Orcs that live in the wilds have little technology, their most advanced being tool craft and mage craft.
City Orcs however have shown remarkable aptitude for artificery, creating many great inventions such as the first arrow catcher, the handless shield and the arcane clock.
