Basic Information
Anatomy
The Darathi, otherwise know as the Scaled men, are humanoids with thin bodies that move in a serpentine fashion. Their skin is black and scaled, and long black claws extend from their fingers. Their faces have yellow snakes eyes and a broad mouth with sharp teeth and fangs. It is believed that this is only one form of Darathi, that their true form is that of a half man half snake with black scales and large snake bodies from the waist down.
Ecology and Habitats
The species resided in the underdark, thriving in the ranks of Nightspawn as lieutenants and shock troops.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Exceptional eyesight, hearing and sense of smell, they also appear to be able to sense magic. Their scales have antimagical properties, and they have venomous fangs and claws. They make exceptional fighters, to face one in combat is to know death.

Darathi were held in high regard amongst the ranks of Nightspawn, holding Lieutenants positions over Droglians, Ogrilids and other foul creatures.
Common Myths and Legends
Tales are told of Darathi warriors, renowned for their skill in battle. It is said that they are as strong as 10 men, and one bite of their blades will kill a man outright.
Many rumours surround the Darathi as to their abilities, some say they cannot stand the smell of Iron, that they can become invisible if they turn sideways, or that they travel through lightning storms and strike with the wind.
