Cynevalde

Cynevalde is the capital of Pelander, one of three territories that make up Gentrov. Long before the unification of the Brish clans, Pelander was home to the Hubish and Pelan families who settled the territory several hundred years ago. In the year 46, the Hafjiir clan to the north declared that they didn't wish to unify the clans after being prompted to by Taelor Gentrovich, leader of the Gentrovich clan. In response, Alans Hubish and Besa Ermund (heads of their respective clans) declared that they too would isolate themselves from the Gentrovich clan to the north, for they didn't wish to involve themselves in the affairs of what was formally Northern Brishland (now Gentrov).   In the year 68, Taelor Gentrovich lead his warriors into the Hafjiir territory, demanding that they lend aid in the coming war that was foreseen by Gentrovich's seer wife. Esseif, however, declined. Taelor would then kill Esseif, taking his severed head to the southern clans in modern-day Pelander, and Freemund, and the capital, Cynevalde, to show Hubish and Ermund what awaited them if they didn't aid in the coming Harushkan invasion. Relenting, they agreed to lend warriors but wished to remain divided after settling the conflict.   Cynevalde is still widely regarded as the city of the Hubish and Ermund clans. It holds a population that nears one million consisting mostly of humans with less than 10% of the population being Pois, Trot, or Dhavish Greatkin.
