Eladrin in Vontia
The Eladrin have long been a presence in Vontia, emerging sporadically from the great fey forest of Intermenia. Even before the famed Call—a pivotal event when hundreds of Few simultaneously migrated from Intermenia into the material plane—Eladrin had begun to appear throughout the western region of Kothyica. Their presence, though sparse, became more prominent over time as they settled in various areas, particularly in the lands of Formir and Gicarthium.
Eladrin are an inherently curious and inquisitive people. This characteristic has driven them to explore and understand the intricacies of the material plane, often leading to a clash of cultures with the more rigid societal structures of the other kingdoms. Though they attempted to integrate into the now-collapsed southern kingdom, their unique appearance and enigmatic customs made such integration difficult. Over time, they concentrated their presence in the regions of Formir and Gicarthium, where their cultural eccentricities found a better, though still imperfect, fit.
The Eladrin’s shared propensity for exploration and discovery is rooted in the same Wanderlust that brought them to Vontia. While individual Eladrin may have varying goals—some seeking knowledge, others adventure or mastery of craft—the collective pursuit of exploration has earned them the moniker "Wandering Fey", even among the people of Gicarthium. Whether traversing unfamiliar lands or delving into the depths of arcane mysteries, Eladrin communities remain vibrant hubs of fey tradition, curiosity, and an unyielding desire to connect with the vast world around them.
