Docking and Take Off Procedures

Docking

When approaching a starport then you will need to do the following:

1) Initial communication.

This will be completed automatically once the ship's ID is communicated to the starport

the information that is communicated with be:

a) Type of Star ship

b) Ship's manifest, crew and cargo (unless these have been hidden by a successful COMPUTER check

c) Where the ship is travelling from

d) Purpose of visit.

e) Purposed Length of stay

In return the planet will send back any important information that the crew needs to know about the planet, this is include;

a) Law Level and any restrictions

b) The atmosphere and climate of the area

c) Details of any indigenous life forms - if they will present a hazard

d) Key places relating to a crew's stay - e.g. lodgings, bars, entertainment booths etc

2) Landing at Starport

After the initial check - the starport will instruct the ship to a landing bay or pad. Once landed the docking fee will be taken directly from the ship's online balance. Once landed, gravity will be switched to the planet's and <inertial dampers> - will be put into place. Airlocks tubes will be connected. Void drive will be connected to recharge - cost if wanted to increase this beyond the usual time. Clamps put into place - as a safety precaution, but really to ensure that no ship takes off illegally.

3) O.R.C.A. Checks

Depending on the starport, O.R.C.A. Orbital Regulation & Customs Authority personal or drone will arrive to complete the final checks. This will include asking any questions about the ships ID and manifest. Anything to declare?? verifying the information, answering any questions. Once checked the crew will be able to leave the ships landing area.

Leaving the planet

1) Request to O.R.C.A. Orbital Regulation & Customs Authority for take off. Will be put into a rotation and need to wait. Personnel will check the ships updated manifest.

2) Once all checks are completed to O.R.C.A. Orbital Regulation & Customs Authority satisfaction, the clamps will be removed and the ship will be able to take off.

3) Markers automatically sent to the planets and void gates.

4) Reminded about safe exit from atmosphere. Manoeuvre drives only

5) Feedback form to rate their stay and the operational efficiency of O.R.C.A. Orbital Regulation & Customs Authority
