Cooking, Production Skill
Cooking
Cooking food requires a mix of meats and ingredients placed over a range or fire. A meal feeds 4 people. If you wish to feed more, you must make another batch for every 4 people you attempt to feed. Food prepared using Cooking can be sold, traded, or eaten only if it's still fresh. A meal is considered fresh within 24 hours of being cooked. Food can be preserved for longer by cooled. Also, to be sold or traded, a meal cannot have been eaten from prior. Having a higher Cooking level will allow you to create more valuable meals.
Cooking Process
You can cook twice per long rest. This activity takes 2 hours. Eating a meal requires another hour to consume, after the preparation process has been completed. To cook any meal, you must already have the required ingredients for it. You must have access to an open flame or a cooking range to prepare food. Sometimes, a chef prepares a meal so skillfully, that meal tastes of a finer quality. When you successfully cook an item, roll percentile dice. If you roll a 95% or higher, then the meal you made increases by one tier of the same type.
If the meal cannot increase by a tier and the item bestows temporary hit points, increase the number bestowed by +2. If the meal cannot increase by a tier and the item adds a bonus to your skill checks or saving throws, increase the bonus to a +4.
Roll a Sleight of Hand or an Acrobatics skill check. If your roll equals or exceeds the DC of the meal, you cook the item.
You gain Cooking XP equal to the level of the item you cook + your Cooking level (If you fail to cook the item, you gain 1d4-1 XP instead, and you burn the food. All ingredients used to prepare that item are still consumed; burnt food is useless and cannot be sold)
