Four Accords

The Four Accords describes a common morality among all Voktegårdian cultures (except Morkgoths). All nations except for Mørkland are assumed to abide by the Four Accords in addition to whatever other local customs.  

I. Peace

None shall act with intention to cause harm to another.   Generally, this admonishes against:

• Assault
• Murder
• Sex crimes
• slavery
• all manner of violence

II. Provision

None shall fail to care for those in need.   Generally, this admonishes against:

• neglect of children
• neglect of the elderly
• neglect of the infirm and mentally unwell
• neglect of companion animals and livestock
• turning away of a stranger in need of food, water, shelter, clothing, or life-saving healing

III. Security

None shall take what belongs to another.   Generally, this admonishes against:

• pickpocketing
• retail theft
• burglary
• robbery
• all manner of theft

 

IV. Respect

None shall cross the boundaries of land, home, or character.   Generally, this admonishes against:

• trespassing
• squatting
• harassment
• defamation
