Dune Gare, Rare Ingredient and Substance Prospector
Dune looked down the snowy hillside toward the frozen river below. Small yellow flowers swayed along the shore, sprouting through the shallow snow. The flowers are the only color besides green and white seen in the whole valley. They are also a favored food source of Dune's prey, the Velkin Horned Hare. Dune lay perfectly still, watching the snares and the flowers for any changes. The hare's pelt rendered it invisible when running, but the white rabbit was hard enough to spot against the snow even when moving slowly He had set up these snares nearly a week ago and not caught anything but common rabbits. Good for eating and the pelts are very nice, but not the real prize here, each of the pelts from the horned hare had enough material to fill the requirements of three invisibility potions or could be sold for 200 gold, and the horns bolstered the effects of any potion they were added to. That is if he ever managed to catch one of the damned things.
Feeling frustrated he stood to move on to the next set of snares further into the valley. Just then a snare snapped shut and squeals pierced the silence in the valley. Turning back Dune saw small grey antlers and a shaking snare.
