The Severed

The Severed are an underground rebellion group dedicated to driving the humans out of their ancestral homes in South Vithrin. They seek to take revenge for the crimes committed during the War of Severance and use terrorist tactics to strike fear into the human colonies. They are highly skilled in guerilla tactics and stealth, using hit an run tactics to outmaneuver and fight against the more populous and organized armies of the human settlements. Despite their reputation for being ruthless, The Severed are deeply committed to their cause, and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. They are fiercely protective of their fellow elves, and will go to great lengths to ensure their safety and well-being. Above all, The Severed are united in their belief that their land and their people have been wronged, and they will not rest until justice is served.

Structure

The Severed are a hierarchical organization with well defined roles and responsibilities for its members. They are led by a charismatic but ruthless leader titled the Supreme Protector of the Elves who is responsible for setting the groups strategy, goals, as well as doling out punishments. The organization is split into different cells places throughout South Vithrin each headed by a commander who have full autonomy to run their cell as long as it aligns with the overall goal set by the Protector. Each cell is dedicated to carrying out raids or gathering intelligence in the areas they are currently inhabiting. Within each cell, individual members are expected to be highly specialized in a specific skill whether that be archery, tracking, infiltration, etc. Each member is meant to uniquely contribute to the cell as a whole in order to keep groups small with little overlap.
