In 850 AC, Viniar Ororo of Dragoria asserted claims over cities west of Naram Lake. The Freelanders lost Naiatoria and Lian in "The War of the Dragon Lake." Viniar aimed to conquer territories scorched by the Dragon, but faced stronger Freelander armies than expected. Eastern pirates and northern raids compelled him to withdraw, defending Dragoria from attacks and regrouping.
