Sthennon

Sthennon is a male deity who represents and teaches strength of body and spirit and endurance in adversity. He advocates adherence to law and order and is the judge who measures a Medai’s life and decides his moral value after his death. His holy days are the 16th of June and the 20th of January. During the days and nights of the new moon, his worshipers practice restrictions on their diets and habits, even severe fasting for the fanatic adherents. Burials and remembrance of the dead are done under his purview. His worshipers consider stoicism one of the highest virtues and this outlook is widespread in Medai culture in general, even among non-worshipers or casual adherents. Sthennon is particularly popular among warriors and there is a warrior brotherhood sworn to him - the Forked Tongue - with members across most caravans.
