The Lone Walkers

The The Shattered Land is known as a location of chaotic magic and the site of paranormal happenings. Will O' Wisps lead travelers into a watery and muddy grave, specters and wraiths haunt the crumbling ruins, and banshees wail in the night. But the most dangerous thing is the Lone Walkers.   The Lone Walkers come in varying sizes. They are made up of corals, wood, remnants of ships; all held together by either a powerful spirit or by the corrupted magic brain of an ancient war drudge. They wander the shattered landscape searching for something. Tales say they are searching for their long decayed bodies, others believe they are looking for their war-caster that they lost during the Great War. What ever the reason the Lone Walkers will attack anything that crosses its path. The larger walker's presence is often foreshadowed by the ringing of a ships bell that they have absorbed into their body.   The Walkers are usually bipedal with two arms, though they may have absorbed cannons from ships or from abandoned artillery batteries. Surprisingly these cannons are still operational though they seem to fire spirit energy instead of actual cannonballs and shot.
