Myrrha - The Gossamer Truth

Goddess of Illusion • Fate • Transformation • Revelation

Who is Myrrha

Myrrha does not lie. She simply lets you see what could be true. She is the fluttering veil, the mask that reveals, the echo of what you almost remembered.

> Her realm is not about hiding who you are, but asking: What might you become, if you let go?

To some, she is a trickster saint. To others, the final mirror. She is worshipped by those who know the self is a chrysalis—and the truth has wings.

Domains & Spheres of Influence

> Myrrha threads the impossible into view.

Illusion — Reshaping perception to reveal hidden self.

Fate — Guiding destinies, allowing mortals to weave new ends.

Transformation — Sacred rebirth: old self dies so new may breathe.

Revelation — Truths too vast for sight become felt in the bones.

Divine Symbol

> A moth with mirrored wings—one intact, one fading—hovering over a spiral thread of burning destiny.

The Moth — Drawn to truth’s light, even at risk of burning.

The Wings — Duality: beauty in decay, truth in contradiction.

The Spiral — Never-broken thread of destiny.

Carved into mirror frames, inked on veils, whispered in filigree of hidden reflections.

Glyphs of Myrrha

Her glyphs reveal, reshape, and quietly unravel. Feared by tyrants, cherished by seekers.

Tier 1

Veilshift — “Fading Presence”

Visual: Mirrored ripple as reflections near but never align.

Effect: Blurs the bearer’s edges—never invisible, but easily misremembered.

Use: Spies, tricksters, trauma-survivors reclaiming how they’re seen.

Quote: “They remember your voice… but not your face.”

Fauxis — “The Borrowed Face”

Visual: Expressionless mask split in light and shadow.

Effect: Temporarily mimics someone you recently touched.

Use: Infiltration, confession, delivering forbidden words.

Risk: Fractures if you lie without cause.

Tier 2

Lirae — “Thread of Becoming”

Visual: Needle pulling a spiral thread fading to smoke.

Effect: Reveals inner truth through physical or spiritual transformation.

Use: Rites of personal change—grief, identity, rebirth.

Quote: “You are not who you were. And you never were.”

Tier 3

Chrysalis Revera — “Truth in the Cocoon”

Visual: Sealed cocoon wrapped in three orbiting rings.

Effect: Encases the bearer in metamorphic trance—emerge transformed or never return.

Use: Extreme emotional healing or sacred identity trials.

Warning: Some never leave the cocoon.

Miragis — “The Eye That Lies True”

Visual: Suspended eye above rippling water.

Effect: Pierces illusions to expose intention, fear, or hidden longing.

Use: Diviners, gentle truth-seekers, persuasive interrogators.

Risk: Too much contradiction can shatter the mind.

Tier 4

Lucerna Obscura — “The Dark Lantern”

Visual: Two feminine profiles—haloed and horned—eyeless, flanking an ornate eye.

Effect: Bearer’s words feel absolutely true, regardless of veracity.

Use: Prophets, demagogues, false gods.

Warning: Conviction fuels the effect; overuse blurs truth itself.

Worship & Rituals

Mirror Gatherings: In hidden alcoves or mask-lined chambers.

Unmaskings: Symbolic removal of identity before confession.

Threadburns: Burning ink-thread into wax to mark change.

Reflections: Silent hours by water or glass to settle the soul.

Role in the Facture War

Myrrha stayed neutral—she offered both sides masks and revelations.

- Masks for the Fearful: Shielded soldiers who lost courage.

- Regret as Prophecy: Showed generals their hidden sins.

- End of Bound Fate: Unraveled a king’s blood-bound destiny strand by strand.

Sacred Sites

Mirror Spine: Canyon of glass and water—reflections never match motion.

Shed Sanctum: Ruin of discarded masks and letters—prayers echo in no one’s voice.

Where Are They Now?

Between Selves: Walking softly in the in-between.

Final Lie: The last mask you remove to free the truth.

Mirror You Avoid: Waiting where you finally face yourself.
