Golem Justice Group
The group is made up of a small but devoted following that disagree with the popular sport Golem Game. Believing it to be unethical, conjuring living golems to unwillingly fight and then disposed of shortly after. Formerly known as the Golem Justice Group, they make their voices heard by protesting outside arenas, preaching in city streets and hoard spawning dice to keep golems safe.
Leader:
Din Drasco, a veteran of the Cytal Civil War. Serving on the front lines of the final battle of Fort Kasucian and liberated during the purge of the Great Forest. A sorcerer who has seen many battles and is tired of fighting. But still stands his ground for his beliefs. The belief that all life should be free, and starting the movement that has become the Golem Justice Group. Whilst he has seen a great deal of violence and war, he only protests in peace and offers diplomacy wherever possible. Over the years his acts of respect have made progress with several talks with golem game officials to come to some form of arrangement that would please both parties.
What makes us born of flesh and bone any different to a golem that that is conjured or a flower that blooms? We are all living, breathing, experiencing life in the here and now. We don't have the right to force another to do our bidding. To create life purely for entertainment. All I ask is that you let them decide their own fates as we do ourselves. His second in command, Q'rett Rah, is a young Marubell freed from petrification at The Crossroads who shares the same feelings for freedom to golem kind. But his views and opinions can be extreme, leading to riots in the streets and acts of anarchy which goes against the word of his leader. Rumours spread amongst the group that the young Marubell is unhappy with the progress of the group and seeks to pursue drastic actions at the next championship games.
Controversy:
Although there is some that do not agree with the sport, the majority of the public see no issue with the golem games. Arguments are made that the golems are designed with no consciousness, no thoughts or feelings. And that they are only made of simple elements like mud and copper with no semblance of life. Officials of the championship games describe the golems as animated avatars or constructs and do not fall under the definition of living creatures. When asking the general public, including Earth Alum and Marubell (living statues) most do not compare themselves to the golems. With some describing them as just another kind of spell. Others are wary that they will one day replace the golems. But with the abolishment of fighting arenas during the Dark Times, this is a very unlikely outcome.
