Yes, well I... I suppose it was my job at one point to know of such things. There are many, many symbols that could be used. Yes, and I like to think I know more than my fair share of them. But I don't think, I could recite many of the very obscure ones though. Certainly not the ones from everyday conversations, I'm not that talented I'm afraid. Those who are part of the archaeology group known as Paramound, devote their lives to uncover the secrets of the past. Amongst their discoveries, the history seekers have managed to create a good understanding of Ancient Scryptian by deciphering various written texts, relics and preserved stone carvings. Primarily composed of 30 unique characters with many more individual symbols noting common words and phrases. The earliest surviving texts depict words written from the top of the page to the bottom, travelling from left to right. A format that became less popular as time progressed. The symbols for each letter are basic straight lines often written without needing to lift a quill off the page. While the characters for each letters are difficult to read to anyone who hasn't studied the language, the symbols for words are commonly seen in runes that are still used to this day. Although the format of writing from top to bottom has been replaced with circular patterns and the addition of newer runes to make spells more efficient.
