Zharam Safina was born into a part of the Hunting Grounds few safe zones as a native of what she would later make into Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium.
Zharam Safina lived a long and eventful life of 153 years, changing the world where she stepped. This is a basic guide of how she lived them.
Zharam Safina was born into a part of the Hunting Grounds few safe zones as a native of what she would later make into Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium.
The Ravages are increasing in ferocity. Safinas' people are slaughtered, her home destroyed. Safina protected herself and her brother by hiding under some corpses and playing dead. She kept Veros quiet by lightly drugging him with a relaxant used by eating the leaf of the source plant. She kept the leaf in his mouth for a short time. She's forced to move on with her baby brother to the Caverns for protection.
The Caverns and its' inhabitants were razed down in chemical fed flames, slaughtering almost all within it. Safina and her brother Veros were amongst the very, very few survivors and even then only because she'd recognised the scent soon enough to notice the threat and had the good fortune of finding a pit with a different airway she could fit them into. The pit was for food storage so she could cover herself with cloth and lid to protect herself and her brother.
Veros wasted away in Safinas arms, passing in utter agony. He died from starvation, stress and illness from smoke and toxic miasma all compiled upon each other.
Safina starts working at a brothel after she's sold off. She's worked as an errand girl and cleaner at first due to her scars and company policy. They start introducing her to sex work and start training her at age 13 (1448) offering partial services only, and is entered as a full prostitute at the end of the year. Safina used this time to gather information and learn how to survive.
Hossvorn met Safina when she was hosting his mercenary group at the brothel, still reveling in the new year. He approached her, finding her a curious sight and bored due to a lack of interest in purchased nights, but his advances were met coldly. He's only intended to talk but she'd mistaken his interest for business and she'd only just started personal training, she wasn't offering her services yet. They met several times after and began a platonic relationship of teasing and ribbing. He also taught her self-defense and fighting skills.
Overtime Safinas' and Hossvorns' friendship and teasing had started to take a different tone as they developed feelings for each other. It was at this point they accepted it, though it felt more like giving up running than a revelation. While they stopped denying themselves, they did atleast practise discretion. Love is dangerous for a prostitute and falling for one can be just as much so. Safinas' colleagues knew of her dalliances and mocked her for them, cautioning her to the whims of man and reminding of her place, but they otherwise ignored them as she handled it quietly without broadcasting herself.
Safina notices she's pregnant and informs Zamarkin (Hossvorn). After about a month of turmoil they calm down and start planning their course of action. Safina initially intended to induce a miscarriage but Zamarkin talked her out of it and they decide to run. Zamarkin calls in a favour from his close friend and fellow mercenary, Darriane Villmont, to fix up an old apartment from a town they'd passed through and puts together some money with him to support her through the initial months.
Luckily Safinas' belly didn't show much, so while some suspected and others pretty much, none could complain and she held onto her position at the brothel. But she'd reached the six month mark and she was pushing the limits as it was, so at midday when the others were asleep she fled with Zamarkin and Darriane. They spent three months running to their temporary home. The babies were born one month early, so the last month of travels were spent with the newborn children in tow, the first two weeks of which were spent with a doctor.
The first two of Zharam Safinas' children were her son, Iztrahm, and daughter, Azarah. They were born in the midst of winter while their mother hid alone in a cave system and their father, Zamarkin Lariddhu, worked his up in the world to return to and protect Safina and their children.
While they enjoyed the respite granted by accommodation the environment was dangerous and the situation was always meant to be temporary. Zamarkin and his friend leave to secure stable work and better, permanent accommodations for them, Darriane swearing to Safina to keep the idiot alive in the meanwhile. They make sure to send a letter every fortnight to keep her updated.
After two months of regular correspondence all contact is cut off for no known reason. She waited for either a letter, their return or news of tragedy but nothing came, just silence.
Desperate and alone with two children and no money, Safina has to make a difficult decision. In order to pay off her debts and freedom costs, locate her partner and protect her children, Safina sells herself to Duke Lydius Myredan.
Identical twin brothers born of Safinas' concubinage to Duke Lydius Myredan, they started life safely in upper society.
This date marks the official founding of Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium by Zharam Safina after the (words?)
The birth of Kaya (daughter) and Evian (son) started from an agreement between their mother and their father, King Nordan of Vaianor, as a result of their friendship and political alliance. Their birth tied the nations of the Kingdom of Vaianor and Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium together as firm allies and started off a history of peace and friendship between the two so long and strong it was written into history as legend.
Zamarkin died defending Safina in a post-founding battle near the border, caused by former soldiers and citizens of some of the nations of the areas they claimed in the Purge.
Zeren was born between Safina and her lover Xanther Karron. Unusually, just like their mother, Zeren was a single born and had no siblings despite their people pre-disposition to twins and triplets. More unusual was that they were intersex but they had no related physical ailments and their gender matched so they lived long and happily. Some liked to tease, not cruelly, that Zeren was a single born because they absorbed their sibling in the womb ten making them intersex, but this was just a strange joke meant to tease them and held no weight socially or physiologically.
Zemira and Zamar were born of a fling between their mother and her favourite entertainer, Floran Nyva. As she was in an open polygamous relationship with her partners this caused no issues. As far as anyone knows the father in unaware of the existence of his progeny.
The duke was murdered by his wife and concubines. The wife stabbed him with a dagger soaked in poison made by his concubines. He was a cruel and cold man even to his partners so none mourned him. Zharam Safina offered asylum to the women involved should they desire it. They didn't all accept it but most did, including the wife, and found a good life in Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium.
Vanik (son) and Zaia (daughter) were born from Zharam Safina and her 1st husband, Amiran Lixtern.
Identical twin sisters, Venita and Vidanya were born from their mother, Safina, and her 2nd Husband Xanther Karron.
26 years after the founding of Fyey-Ahkeer-Byssium the nation has completed its expansion and liberation efforts and the neighbouring nations have settled. The national borders have been set and finalised but their internal borders are still in disarray. As the nations people develop their culture, Founder Safina and her people start organising their geopolitical structures into provinces.
Zharam Safina finally passes after 153 years of life. Safina was relaxing in a small night time party when she collapsed. After 2 hours of pain a doctor gave her a painkiller to help her go peacefully. She died an hour later with her family by her side. The nations mourns her passing together, gathering to hold (big meeting thing). The day becomes an annual national holiday for (details). Cause of Death: She died of a build-up of toxins in her blood, caused by the Ravages.
