Third Age

The absolute destruction of the Blood Ward, by the Coalition of Light, a unified force from a dozen nations whose only goal was the destruction of the ward. They stormed the Jade Necropolis and laid waste to its halls, eventually fighting their way to the Tomb upon which it was built. There they slayed the 13 archdemons binding the spell and in so doing, shattered the Jade Necropolis into a thousand pieces.   There, amongst the magically infused ruins, and floating stones of the magic wracked land, the city of Emberward was founded, marking the transition from the Second to the Third Age

No one still alive remembers the events of this day, at least none that stood up after the fact. The vampires were hunted to extinction and the men who gazed upon the elder wyrm are long dead if they did not die that day.
