Potion of Undeath

The Poxmaker's Draught is placed in a large cauldron on a new moon, at which time the Zombie and arm are added, both being allowed to dissolve over the course of a month, until the next new moon.   Strychnos plant should be carefully distilled, combining small amounts of the Peryton horn into it until all the horn is consumed and the solution turns a bright yellow. This solution should then be hung above the cauldron, and allowed to dribble into the cauldron over the course of the month, occasionally being stirred into it. If the flow stops prior to two weeks elapsing, it will most likely fail, so a slow steady dribble is preferable.   The solution will congeal and separate, forming three layers. The solids at the bottom are much of the waste that originally was part of the sewage, this has no functionally useful properties. The topmost layer is what is needed, a viscous oily substance, now clarified. Typically, only a liter is available from the multiple liters of fluid that went into the cauldron.   The middle layer is useful in other potions, and is known as lich blood, due to the high frequency it is seen in lich's lairs. Typically, 500 mL of this substance is produced.
