The cultures of Vidariel mark their years and centuries using the Luminous Convergence Calendar. This system of timekeeping is derived from a significant cosmological event that ushered in the Modern Era: the "Luminous Convergence".

The Luminous Convergence was a rare celestial event, where the three moons of Vidariel — Solara, Lustra, and Nebula — aligned perfectly with the planet's sun, creating a magnificent spectacle in the sky. This alignment caused a surge in magical energy throughout the realm. It's said that the sky was filled with brilliant colors and auroras for days, and many considered it a sign of the deities marking a new era.   The aftermath of the Luminous Convergence was felt in every corner of Vidariel. New forms of magic were discovered, dormant magical creatures awoke, and ley lines across the world became supercharged. Many believe the Convergence was a form of cosmic balance being restored after the chaotic events and stagnation following the fall of the Narilati.   It was after this event that the dominant cultures came together to form a standardized calendar, marking the year of the Luminous Convergence as year 0 LCC. The convergence became a symbol of unity, progress, and rebirth, leading to the labeling of the years preceding it as "Before Convergence" (BC) and those following as "After Convergence" (AC).
